I meet with an Urologists surgeon today who has preformed the RPLND procedure on hundreds of patients. Is there anyone who has used this doctor for this procedure, and if so, what are your opinions about him?
Dr. Inoel Rivera

Let's Go Mets! sigh...
I found that same article. The practice he belongs to is the same practice that performed my orchiectomy two weeks ago. I am waiting to hear from Dr. Einhorn on his recommendation, whether this surgery is simple enough for Dr. Rivera to preform, or if I should goto Dr. Foster
Dear Am...
You are smart to try and make sure your doctor has the experience to do this highly complex surgery. It is not something that everyone can do. There are to many ways it can go wrong. I would suggest that only Dr. S for Dr F do the surgery. Dr. F did Les' surgery. When I ask Dr E about a local doctor that did the surgery he said it was important that only doctors that did this surgery lots do the surgery. If I am not mistaken Dr. F does about 300 a year. Good luck..

Pam

I looked for Dr Rivera on the TC expert link below and did not see his name, or a Florida based TC Center of Excellence -

I am sure if he has done hundred's of RPLND's he would be well known to Dr Einhorn and you are wise to ask his opininion.

We looked all across the country....Many experieced urologic surgeons do 5-10 RPLNDs per year.
Foster and Sheinfeld do over 200 each per year. By any account it is a complex surgery...so please reseach thoroughly.
