    Baby Update

Hi everyone, its been a few weeks since I've been on the forum, but I think of everyone daily.

We were blessed to have a healthy baby boy on June 23rd - 1 week early. Samuel Jonathan Houghton is doing great and keeping mom and dad very busy.

I started having contractions the morning of our American Cancer Society Relay for Life event. Pretty ironic since Jon was the opening speaker last year - just a few months after finishing treatments. So everyone was hoping for a "relay baby" but Sam decided to wait a few days and simply put mom through some agony instead!

Of course one of the first questions Jon asked the doctor when he was examining Sam - "are his testicles descended?"

I've attached his picture from his birthday, but it is amazing how much he has changed in three weeks.

Anyway, I'll hopefully be getting my act together and trying to get on the forum more often.

Thanks for everyone's continued support of the forum!!!

Congratulations and what a beautiful little boy! With the date of his birthday I'd be willing to bet that every few years his birthday will fall on Relay Day.

As an aside, my husband, Tim and our now 2-year old son walk the Survivor Lap together every year to celebrate. But this year we'll be skipping the Relay, which is tomorrow in an effort to keep our 2nd son cooking just a bit longer....he's due 9/5 but is trying his hardest to make an early appearance into the world. Again, congrats! He's adorable.

I'm not sure how to answer the poll, so just thought I'd tell you my husband's outcome. We were told going into the RPLND that he would have retrograde ejaculation - and he does. However, sexually speaking all is well. I love my husband more than ever and this outcome of the surgery has never been an issue!

    Lori,
I'm not sure how you conceived with Sam, but I ran across this old thread posting from 5/10/07. God Bless you and your family!
I hope Sam soon starts to sleep through the night for you!
