Unsure if second time...

Quick synopsis.
9/09 had right orchiectomy, stage 1 90% EC, 10% seminoma.

A few days ago, i have been feeling a dull to moderate pain in my remaining testicle. It hurts when i walk, when i touch certain spots on it but am unable to find a mass. I know the percentage is low 2-3% for the other guy to become infected but im starting to worry.
I am unsure if i may have injured myself weight lifting or possibly bruised it. I take sports supplements and vitamins everyday and have for years and again am unsure if that could have an effect on the pain i am having.

I called my urologist and will be making an appt. shortly. I am curious for other members feedback regarding similar symptoms... anything would help, as you know it if difficult to swallow at times, and its feeling like one of those times.

Dan,

You're doing the right thing by seeing your urologist, hopefully as soon as possible. Be sure to leave the appointment with a script for an ultrasound. That said, though, you're right in that the risk of a second primary TC is indeed very very low and there are many other things that might explain what you're experiencing. I can tell you from my firsthand experience that, like my first TC, my second TC symptoms were an enlarged testicle but completely devoid of pain.

The pain in my first TC was very acute and could not really feel it unless i pressed on the small mass (only 3mm), then i would feel a slight pinching feeling. What i am feeling now is nothing like that. It is constant annoying and the pain shoots from my left testicle up into the left part of my lower abdomen. It honestly feels like i was kicked in the b*lls and the feeling does not subside. When i walk and my leg brushes up against it, it hurts even more. So im very eager to get this figured out as you can tell.

I had the same sort of pains, sometimes a general ache, ocasionally a firm squeezing sensation, starting about 6 weeks post-I/O. Got so acute that I made an early return visit to the urologist. Still very annoying 5 months later and insisted on an Ultrasound. Nothing found. The really annoying episodes stopped, but I still get mild sensations once in awhile.

Many guys have these. The theories include the survivor working harder to maintain proper testosterone levels, and torsion or strain as it adjusts to more room available.

Would be worth a trip to the doctor, but don't be surprised if they can't find any definite cause.

Its not the dull ache that i experienced after the r/o and that whats scary. its sudden and alot more painful

I'm 6 months out from my i/o and had pains very similar on and off, except mine wasn't as sharp a pain as what your describing. I did have a number of nights where the ache just wouldn't go away. Mine has just recently gone away(as in the last 3 weeks). I kept mentioning it at every Dr's visit but everything checked out OK.

I'd get it checked, but hopefully it will nothing and the pains will soon go away.

My theory is one that Paul54 mentioned. The remaining testicle is working overtime, and also the shock to the system your body takes with any invasive surgery.

Spoke to my Dr., she stated that she felt a small cyst near the epididymis. She was unable to tell for sure because the pain was pretty bad and i kept clenching. However, she said only some of my symptoms are that of epididymitis, but not all. Scheduled for an ultrasound tomorrow which can hopefully uncover the truth behind this ailment. What concerns me is that small mass found near that area. i hope it is just swelling.
