An end is in sight

Had a followup visit with the onc today. Nothing new; very, very boring. We discussed next steps. Since we're coming up on 5 years from my initial diagnosis and there was only teratoma and no active cancer discovered in the RPLND and subsequent lung-chunk-otomy, he agreed that we could do a CT now, and a final CT in 6 months. Annual onc visits for blood draws only moving forward.

Hot damn and hallelujah. Oh, and thank God for COBRA subsidies from the stimulus package, as I celebrate another anniversary today - one month since being laid off from big-ass accounting firm.

Vinny,
Congrats on the boring check-up and almost 5th cancerversary. Sorry about the job. They just moved you to Chicago and then let you go? How nice of them. Why would anybody want to work for a firm like that?

Woo hoo! Great news, Vinny. COBRA saved me the when I had my first TC so I know what you mean. All the better that the stimulus package has made it possible for you. Here's the good health.

Alex
