damaged skin by chemotherapy

Hello,
I've got 1xBEP 3 years ago and my finger skin turned very dark because of it at that time. And it still remains very dark, does not change back to normal.
How do you heal damaged skin by chemotherapy? I've found no treatment yet.

I haven't heard of that one before, what does your Doc say about it?

I have permanant skin pigmantation on the top of my forearm. I was scratched by my dog, during my break in between chemo rounds. It didn't break the skin, but it left a red mark. A few days later it was no longer raised or red, it had turned brownish in hue. It looks kind of like a scar, I tell people I faught a bear and that is where the scar comes from.

My guess is that the pigmant will never leave.

Changes in skin pigmentation are due to one of the side effects of bleomycin.

i have scratch marks on my back that have darkened due to scratching too hard. There are a lot and I was told it would go away in time... but now i'm not too sure anymore haha.. also the ends of my fingertips have gotten a LIL bit lighter.. Is this pigmentation a temporary or permanent side effect of bleo?

I have dark spots that appeared toward the end of my 3xBEP. They ranged in size from a only a mm or two in diameter to 1+cm, on my hands, arms, legs, even a couple on my face that show when the lighting is right. I also have a few scrapes, scratches and scars in various places that darkened, too.
Dermatologist said it's from the chemo, and nothing to be concerned about, just keep an eye on it for changes. Also said that it may fade, may not, varies from person to person.
The spots on my palms and fingertips faded away after 4 or 5 months (now 8 months post chemo), but all the others are still there.
I just see them as little reminders of the battle.
John

Wow, mine did the same thing. I broke out with acne or something from my neck to the backs of my knees. It was horrible at the time, but now the dark scars from all of it is the worst part. I guess it is just more proof of what we have been through.
