I would highly recommend contacting Dr. Einhorn at Indiana University. He is considered the testicular cancer expert. Your friend should be seen by testicular cancer experts. This is somewhat rare so again a expert would increase his chances of survival. Good luck!

I would bet the chemo he will receive is 4xBEP. The treatment takes 12 weeks, and it is the most aggressive first line treatment available. The specifics on the pathology report are crucial to see what the course of action will entail. Know that we're here to help as much as we can.

Welcome, bigmac. If you can post the final pathology, tumor markers (AFP, b-HCG) and a CT scan summary we'll be able to help more. Definately need to start chemo ASAP if he has extensive metastases.

Keep in ming that even advanced TC can be cured. We're here to help. You're a good friend...he'll need your support.
