Testosterone Injection Location

I just got my second injection today. The nurse asked me where the injection was going to be. I assumed in the rear end. When she gave me the shot it was almost at my hip level on the side where I have very little tissue.

Does it matter where the testosterone injection is located on the body?

I have been taking testim gel, but I believe they are to be IM, intramuscular injection. This isn't a medical website but the only one I could find for you with pictures of locations. http://www.steroid.com/inject.php

Intramuscular, usually in the Butt but can be in the Thigh, the Butt is usually the preferred location - it does need to be deep into the Muscle.

Cheers

Thumbs up

Draw a line from you knee straight up the middle of your leg. Not draw a box about 2 inches wide and 7 or 8 inches high. That is where I've done all my injections for the last couple of years. This is deep muscle

Yes, you need to inject deeply. I started with 1 inch needles but I currently use 1 1/2" ones and try to get them in right up to the hub. Selection of the right gauge can do a lot to make the process comfortable. I started with 16 (OUCH!) went to 23 for quite a while and found that a 25 Gauge works if you don't mind waiting for it to empty out. Its very slow to inject... *Note I use 16 gauge needles to draw the drug in.

A good slap to the area before you inject makes it pain free.
