Thumbs up LiveSTRONG Summit

I posted this originally under the Livestrong challenge thread but wanted to start a different thread to keep up with any new news or happenings..

About 2 months ago I submitted an application to LAF to attend the LiveStrong Summit. I was Notified By Kelly @ LAF that my application was one of the 800-1000 accepted to attend... Needless to say I'm pretty excited about this especially because for some reason there are no Cancer fundraising events or Advocacy Programs in my area (Southwest Florida). Who knows , maybe this could be the start of something great here in SW FLA. I'm just greatful to be able to be a part of something like this!!!!

I will keep you all posted as I find out more!!!!! BE WELL!!!!!!!!

Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will; to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Congratulations don.

I applied but was denied. I even asked if there was a waiting list but I guess everyone who enrolled is going.
